MSc in Biotechnology
The objective of Master program in Biotechnology is to integrate core principles of science and engineering with molecular and cellular biology knowledge for the creation of intellectual and interdisciplinary platform required in biotechnology and bioengineering applications. The mission of the program is to endow students with the broad scientific and technological background to create a human potential to address scientific and industrial problems in different fields such as health, pharmaceutical, food, agriculture and environment.
Students enrolled in the program are co-supervised by at least two faculty members from different disciplines at IYTE. A research thesis is required for a MSc degree. The required course load of the program is 21 credits with a minimum of 7 credited courses. In addition to the mandatory core courses, students can register for elective courses from other departments depending on their specific interests. Students are required to register for the seminar class (BTEC 598) by the fourth semester.
